How do I get involved in DOmovement?
Getting involved is easy! Simply do something for God. Yes, it's that simple. Find something in the Bible that God tells you to do...and DO it. Here are some examples:
The Bible instructs us to take care of orphans and widows (Malachi 3:5; James 1:27). Maybe there is an older lady in your neighborhood who needs her yard mowed or her car washed. Go DO it. Wash that car or mow that lawn!
Jesus tells us to serve others (Mark 10:42-45). Maybe there's someone at work who needs help on a project or could use a ride to work. Go DO it. Help with that project or drive that person to work!
Paul admonishes Christians to encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Maybe you have a child who needs a word of encouragement after a hard day at school. Go DO it. Inspire that child!
The Bible says we are supposed to feed the hungry (Isaiah 58:7; Proverbs 22:9). Maybe you have a neighbor who has a hard time making ends meet and needs groceries. Go DO it. Buy those groceries!
We are commanded in Scripture to stand up for justice (Proverbs 31:8-9). Maybe there's someone in your sphere of influence who needs to be defended against false accusations or the bully tactics of another. Go DO it. Defend that person!
And there are a million other ways to serve and love others. The key is to just DO it. Don't wait. Put your faith and the Truth of Scripture into action...TODAY!
But when you DO something, don't forget to tell us about it. We want to hear about your "DOs." Telling others will encourage them to apply James 1:22 to their lives as well. To share your stories with us, go to our Share page by clicking the button below. We are excited to hear from YOU!
